ORTHODOX CHRISTENING CANDLES

The lighted candle is very symbolic during Christening ceremonies within the Orthodox church. It represents the light of Christ according to Jesus' own words, ” I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”.

Candles are traditionally decorated with tulle, materials and other embellishments.
